Neighborhood Sushi

4216 Oak Lawn Ave

A beloved Austin favorite, Neighborhood Sushi brought its trendy take on Japanese dining to Dallas with its first location at the Shops of Highland Park. Expect seasonal sushi, fresh nigiri and sashimi, an expanded yakitori program, creative cocktails and sake, plus a dessert that’s worth saving room for. Open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Zen Sushi in the Bishop Arts

380 W Seventh St

Located in the Bishop Arts District, ZEN Sushi puts a modern spin on traditional Japanese cuisine under the direction of Chef Michelle Carpenter, one of the few female sushi chefs in Texas. Skip the expected omakase and try inventive favorites like the Zen Bruschetta with tuna and fried eggplant or the jalapeño roll with octopus. Open daily from 5 to 9 p.m.

Uchi Dallas

2817 Maple Ave

Since opening in Dallas in 2015, Uchi has become a go-to for elevated, non-traditional Japanese cuisine and the signature style of James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole. Alongside creative sushi like foie gras nigiri and the “ham and eggs” roll, the menu features Dallas-exclusive dishes and an impressive dessert selection.

Nobu

400 Crescent Ct

A Dallas classic for nearly two decades, Nobu brings its world-renowned Japanese cuisine to Uptown inside Hotel Crescent Court. The restaurant remains a favorite for expertly prepared sushi and elevated dishes, with standouts ranging from toro tartare and lobster tempura to Japanese A5 Wagyu.

Sushi Bar Dallas

2111 Jackson St

Hidden inside the old KRLD building, Sushi Bar Dallas is an intimate omakase speakeasy where just 12 guests sit at the sushi counter for a 17-course experience. Premium seafood flown in from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market, A5 Wagyu and a secret-speakeasy atmosphere make this one of Dallas’ most unique sushi experiences. Open daily from 5 to 11 p.m.

Yūjō

12835 Preston Rd., Ste. 216

Yūjō’s flagship Dallas location offers an impressive variety of authentic Japanese sushi, sashimi and more in a sleek, modern setting. With intimate sushi bars and personalized omakase tasting menus, it delivers a more approachable take on the high-end sushi experience. You can also find Yūjō locations in Frisco and Carrollton.
