BY LOCALS, FOR LOCALS!
This is the first edition of THE LOCAL'S LIST — a new weekly series where we tap locals to share their favorite spots, personal recs, and the kind of secret tips you usually only get from a friend. Every Friday, new person, new subject.
Hi! I'm Bailey, like the liquor. I'm a Dallas-based concert photographer, and I turn chaos into content for a living.
If there’s a stage and a crowd screaming, I’m probably there capturing it. You can find my work on Instagram at @ashotofbaileysmedia or online at www.pourbailey.com
Three Links is one of my favorite places to catch a show in Dallas. The room has such a great energy, and one of the owners, Cheyanne Gonzales, is a total badass who works incredibly hard to support the local scene.
Deep Ellum Art Co. is such a unique venue because it blends music with visual art. I love that you can see a great show while also experiencing art work from local artists.
Club Dada has that classic small-club feel that makes live music so fun. The patio is one of my favorite spots in Deep Ellum because you can hang out with friends and still feel like part of the show.
South Side Music Hall is perfect for those mid-sized shows where the energy feels big but still intimate. The space is easy to get to, the lighting is always great, and I’ve seen so many of my favorite touring bands there.
Tulips feels like the kind of venue live music was meant for. It’s small, loud, and intimate in the best way. It's the kind of place where every show feels personal and the owner really cares about the scene and everyone in it. "Welcome home." If you know, you know.

This guide is part of The Local's List — a series where we ask people who actually live here to share their favorite spots, routines, and opinions about the city. This is our first one, but there’s more coming.
