DFW Wrestling Guide
With WWE debuting on Netflix, John Cena winning his record-breaking 17th world championship and AEW about to host its first stateside stadium show right here in Arlington, professional wrestling is hotter than ever! Dallas wrestling fans don’t even have to leave the area to see some amazing action firsthand, either. From locally-run promotions bringing you closer than ever to all the slams, suplexes and submissions to touring national promotions heading to an arena near you, we have your guide to pro wrestling here in Dallas.

DFW-Area Wrestling Promotions
Pro Wrestling Dallas is a conglomerate of different wrestling promotions from around the area, primarily DFW All-Pro Wrestling and its accompanying training school alongside VIP Wrestling. There are regular events each month, whether they be showcases of talented wrestlers from the area through All-Pro or an event infused with talent brought in from across the globe through VIP. Either way, you’re guaranteed great wrestling right here in the city on a regular basis.
Based in Bedford and running for a decade and a half, Metroplex offers weekly quality wrestling shows. The promotion runs a wide variety of events, whether it be their three-week Fight. Win. Survive. Tournament featuring 4 teams composed from a field of 24 wrestlers or co-promotions with internationally renowned superstar Sami Callihan’s Wrestling Revolver shows.
GWF may sound familiar to longtime DFW wrestling fans as the promotion once made an impact in the area in the early 90s. After the name was revitalized in 2015, the company hosts regular events at Rack Daddy’s as part of the Pro Wrestling Dallas umbrella.
With a hard-hitting style, this “fiercely independent" promotion in Fort Worth is heading towards its third-year anniversary. Mat War Pro often features matches that fit exactly what its name suggests, offering stipulations and tournaments like the Hell’s Half-Acre Tournament centered around a 21-man battle royale as well as steel cage and no DQ action.
If you’re looking for the high-flying spectacle of lucha libre, look no further than Martinez Entertainment. The promotion regularly brings in some of the top lucha libre talent in the entire world, including the likes of Psycho Clown, Aerostar, Laredo Kid and many more at its upcoming MartinezMania event on July 13th in Arlington.

New and Recent Additions to the DFW Pro Wrestling Scene
Texas Style Wrestling is a company soon to be broadcasting their shows through CW 33 in the Dallas area come September. As one of two member organizations in NWA Texas, the promotion regularly features NWA stars at its Forney-based TV tapings happening now.
Iron Warriors Pro is set to offer bimonthly shows out of Denton. The promotion’s first show, Genesis, is scheduled for August 21st at Crossbar Denton.
Based out of Weatherford, Trinity Championship Wrestling is billed as a promotion where “tradition meets intensity.” The company is set to run its first show at Gator’s Cantina with the apt title, First Bite, on July 12th.
Billed as “The Holy Grail of Professional Wrestling,” this promotion is set to debut at a show titled Ascension taking place at Fort Worth’s Ridglea Theater on July 17th.

National Wrestling Highlights
AEW is slated to bring its first-ever US stadium show to Globe Life Field for its annual superstar-studded event, All In. Preceding the show will be a week’s worth of massive wrestling events, including the promotion’s two weekly shows (Dynamite and Collision), Ring of Honor: Supercard of Honor, and the Starrcast convention that will allow fans to meet their favorite wrestlers.
WWE recently made its way to Fort Worth for Smackdown, which featured one of the last stops in John Cena’s epic retirement tour. Currently, WWE is set to make its way to San Antonio on July 18th for Smackdown, also featuring John Cena, as well as Monday Night Raw and NXT in Houston the following week.
Owned and operated by internationally recognized wrestling superstar Sami Callihan, Wrestling Revolver has been making waves in the DFW area over the past few years, co-producing shows alongside Metroplex Wrestling. The next of those shows will feature the Texas Title Tournament aimed at crowning the promotion’s first Texas Champion on June 28th.
Known for a hardcore style of extreme and deathmatch wrestling, GCW is heading to Dallas for Boss of All Bosses on July 11th. The company boasts plenty of familiar faces among its roster, many of whom take part in no holds barred action.
Japan’s Joshi style women’s wrestling promotion TJPW is slated to make its debut in Dallas next month. The promotion’s first-ever Texas tour will see it travel to The OC in Forney on July 13th.
MLW has made its way through the area with an elite roster of wrestlers on multiple occasions. The company is currently slated to return on September 13th for its Fightland premium live event.
